Thanking Hashem for his kindness, we offer these humble ideas"

We did it. We put 150 hours of audio on a cd.

The technology is there looking at us. What will we do with it?

The next step is DVD. A DVD can hold 17 gigabytes of information. ( 26 times more than a CD )

This makes possible the next step. We can put all of the talmud in class form .over 4500 hours of it on a DVD. The how is here . All we need is the will.

Come join 613.org in pioneering information storage like it has never been done before.

Join the dream . If you know someone with money and/or brains, speak to them about this idea.

We can put 90 years of one hour parasha classes on a disk.

Say your Rabbi gives 200 hours of class a week. 20 years of class could be put on a DVD.

Or you could put every class you heard in Yeshiva on a disk .

Is this too much ? There is no such thing as too much Torah.

How can we find anything in 20 years of torah talk.

Indexing is getting better and better so don't worry.

The list goes on and on.

We can put enough sound on a disk that it would take 15 years to listen to it if one listened for one hour a day and we could produce the physical media for less than 10$ a piece or maybe even a dollar.

Also keep in mind that magnetic tapes rot. All the best tapes of old are rotting this minute all over the world. Optical media is the most enduring of all media. Many archivists believe it can last for at least 30 years and maybe more.

At 613.org , we believe that technology is given to us by Hashem to bring the world closer to Hashem. However it is all up to mankind to use what Hashem gives him. Once Man realizes Hashem then everything else will fall into place.
