When the Clevelander Rebbe Shlit'a comes to Detroit for a Shabbos , the week visit is mammish like a Yom Tov ! The Rebbe shlit'a is seeing and advising and blessing people literally non stop from early morning to late at night . I see hundreds of people walk in one way and exit totally different , on a spiritual high ! the Rebbe shlit'a gives so much individual attention that the waiting room (our dining room) is often packed spilling over to the kitchen and sometimes the porch ! On every visit the Rebbe would find time to daven at various shuls and often speak to the tinokos shel bais rabban etc. For over 20 years , The Rebbe would always make it his priority to daven at the Yeshiva Gedolah Ateres Mordechai and visit with his close yedid the late Gaon Harav Aryeh Leib Bakst zt'l . as a bachur i once remember seeing the Rosh Hayeshiva Zt'l escorting the Rebbe Shlit'a after his visit , out of the bais medresh to the parking lot , with many bachurim and yungerleit in tow. On the last visit of the Rebbe's before the Rosh Hayeshiva was niftar , the rebbe shlit'a and yb'l the Rosh Hayeshiva zt'l ( who due to illness couldn't speak ) just held hands in the old bais medresh right next to the aron kodesh BOTH CRYING UNCONTROLABLY . The Rebbe continues his strong kesher with the entire city and detroit's present Roshe Hayeshiva , Harav Yehudah and Harav Meyer Simcha Bakst shlit'a.

The Clevelander Rebbe of Ra’anana Grand Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum Shlit”a is a scion of the famous Nadvorna dynasty. A grandson of the famous Rebbe Isamar of Nadvorna he continues in the traditions of his father Rebbe Yissacher Ber of Strozhnitz. The Rebbe’s legacy is one of heartfelt prayer, mesirus nefesh and avodah.
To Daven with the Rebbe is to experience what Davening should be. The Rebbe’s prayers are both heart-rending cries to Hashem, and joyful praise of the creator. The Rebbe himself often leads the services in the Chaissidic tradition especially at auspicious times like Yomim Noraim and Yom Tov where the Rebbe is the Shat”z, for most of the Tefilos and blows Shofar as well! The Rebbe can be seen many times to get up and walk around the congregation inspiring others to daven to Hashem with the same Kavanah as the Rebbe’s.
The Rebbe’s house is always open to guests from all walks of life. At the Rebbes table one can meet Haimishe Chassidim, Baalei Teshuva, local citizens of Ra’anana, Sefardim, Ashkenazim, young and old, newly religious and accomplished scholars; and sometimes all at the same time! The Rebbe treats them all to the warmth and inspiration that is a Shabbos in Mosdos Cleveland. From the Rebbetzin’s delicious home cooked food to the Rebbe’s inspirational Divrei Torah the Shabbos tisch is always a treat.

Mosdos Cleveland is a vibrant force in Ra’anana 20min. from Bnai Brak and in Beitar which is 15min. from Yerushalayim. The Rebbe has been in Ra’anana for 28 years from 1976. The population has grown from some 15,000 to 60,000. Although a modern Israeli city Ra’anana has a significant religious population. The Mosdos work with many traditional, newly religious and not yet observant people in many ways to advance their commitment to Hashem and to Torah.

The Mosdos in Ra’anana runs a 7am-4pm Daycare Center Maon Chavah and a Gan / Kindergarten including 3 nutritious meals a day for ages 3 months till 1st grade all year long. There is also an afternoon Talmud Torah twice a week for boys from Pre-K to 6th grade there are currently 5 classes, offering a classical Jewish education along with a healthy diet and activities that ensure that parents that might have sent their children to non-traditional or even secular institutions instead send their children to Mosdos Cleveland and come closer to their heritage.
The Mosdos have inspirational classes for women as well teaching a variety of subjects and working with baalei teshuvah. There is a G’mach - Chayah Esther named after the Rebbes mother that provides interest free loans for the needy.
The Mosdos runs two Kollelim one in Raanana and one in Beytar Illit. The Kollel in Raanana is for outstanding young scholars who study the intricacies of Jewish law together with Rav Avraham Mordechai Plotka an accomplished talmid chacham daily. There is also a Yeshiva for newly observant Baalei teshuvah Men who study together with Rav Menachem Kohen. In Beytar the Kollel is run by Rev Beirish Shneibalg an accomplished talmid chacham, likewise the students study Jewish Law using Gemara, Shulchan Aruch and Tur with their commentaries.
The Rebbe has also begun a Machon Beer Mayim Chaim to print Chassidic books. The Machon has already produced two editions of Divrei Yisachar on the Parsha a collection of the Rebbe’s fathers inspirational divrei Torah. The Machon also plans on printing for the first time several classic Chasidic works in English such as Noam Elimelech and others as well as more Hebrew works from the Rebbe’s father.
This year Mosdos Cleveland has extensive plans for expanding in Beytar Illit including a Beis Midrash and a Yeshivah. The Mosdos were given land on the understanding that we should build immediately a Mikveh and a Shul. The campus will be 2600 square meters and four floors high it will house a Yeshiva Gedolah and Ketanah as well as dormitories and hachnasas orchim.
